Due to the mysterious respiratory illness currently being diagnosed in dogs, Hidden Gem Pet Lodge will be taking extra precautions for the safety of all dogs. We are requiring that all vaccines; especially parainfluenza, Bordetella and canine influenza are current and up to date on all dogs. If you have traveled, been to any other facility, been to a groomer, dog parks, or contact with dogs from any other facility, we are enforcing a 21 day wait period to enter our facility for any reason. At this time and until further notice, our doggy daycare will be closed. We will no longer be accepting dogs from out of state. If your dog has any underlying conditions, we highly recommend your dog does not attend daycare at this time. Current precautions being taken during daycare will be that each dog will have their own water bowl and have multiple opportunities throughout the day to drink. If your dog has any of the following symptoms do not bring them to our facility and contact your veterinarian immediately!

• Coughing/sneezing
• Difficulty breathing
• Rapid breath
• Wheezing/nasal whistling
• Dehydration
• Difficulty exercising
• Fever
• Nasal or eye discharge
• Loss of appetite
• Weight loss
• Lethargy

If your dog has any of these symptoms, we require a 21 day quarantine from Hidden Gem Pet Lodge and a negative PCR test before returning for any services at the HGPL. We are monitoring reported cases and if any cases are reported in the state of Pennsylvania, we will immediately be closing daycare until further notice. We will continue lodging services as long as it is safe for the dogs.
